Hello

Me!

I have finally decided to bite the bullet and try a blog as a place to share my many craft adventures.

I love to craft and have done since I was young but over the years I have developed many avenues of crafting.  I like to cross- stitch; paint (watercolour); make mixed media stuff, especially MDF and acrylic painting; pyrography (wood burning); brush lettering; drawing; stamping, colouring, ink blending and die-cutting; journaling; but my all time favourite is card making and I love nothing more than creating a personalised custom card.

I am on Facebook and Instagram regularly joining in craft communities and love to chat craft.

I am mum to two young(ish) children (they just keep getting older!) who both have additional needs and have survived so much in their wee lives.  Crafting really became more important to me with the journey our lives have been on since the kids arrived; it is my escape, my sanity.  Creating allows me to empty my mind for a while or to distract me from the anxieties parenting special needs can bring.

Following my love of my family and my crafting the next big thing is my  work - I am a teacher, currently working with children with additional support needs and it is so rewarding to share in the journey of these young people as they develop and learn about the world in which we live.  It is not an easy job but one that brings me joy (most days).

Another major hobby (although it is not officially a hobby) is buying craft goodies - I sometimes feel I buy more than I get to use!

So that's me and now I have started this I hope to be adding more makes and get into the blogging world!
